Returns & Refund Policy
We want every purchase and every visit to feel effortless. Here's how returns, exchanges, and booking changes work at ShowUp.
We want you to love what you buy. If something isn't right, you can return unopened, unused items within 7 days of purchase or delivery, in their original packaging with proof of purchase (receipt, order number, or booking confirmation).
- Gym & active wear may be returned unworn, with tags attached and hygiene liner intact.
- Perfumes, lipsticks & lip glosses can only be returned if unopened and factory-sealed — for hygiene reasons, opened cosmetics and fragrances cannot be resold or refunded.
- Items marked as final sale, clearance, or gift-with-purchase are not eligible for return or refund.
- Arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect? Contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order and we'll replace it or refund it in full — no return shipping cost to you.
Once we've received and inspected your return, refunds are processed within 5–10 business days and issued to your original payment method. Exchanges (e.g. a different shade or size) are shipped out as soon as the returned item is received.
Because our artists' time is reserved specifically for you, we ask for a little notice if your plans change.
- Cancel or reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice and any deposit paid is fully refunded or moved to your new appointment.
- Cancellations inside 48 hours, or no-shows, forfeit the deposit — this covers the reserved slot and artist's time.
- Not happy with a service? Let us know within 48 hours and we'll arrange a complimentary touch-up or redo — our goal is always to make it right.
- Studio hire (photography & content studio) bookings require 72 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule without losing the booking fee.
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act (Act 68 of 2008). Goods that are defective, unsafe, or not fit for their intended purpose can be returned for repair, replacement, or refund, regardless of the timeframes above. If you purchased online or over the phone, you may also be entitled to a cooling-off period under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
This page is a general policy summary and not legal advice — if you have a specific consumer rights query, we recommend contacting the National Consumer Commission or a legal advisor.
