If you are looking for a photoshoot studio in Benoni, you probably want to know what it costs, what equipment is already there, and how long to book. This page answers those questions so you can plan your shoot before you arrive.
ShowUp's studio in Crystal Park is set up so you can move between setups without bringing a full lighting rig. It suits product photography, portraits and headshots, social media content and podcast recording, and it is a shorter drive than a Johannesburg studio if you are on the East Rand.
Need to look camera-ready first? You can book makeup in the same building before your shoot, or add lash extensions a few days earlier. Ready to go? Book your studio time.

Which booking suits your shoot
If you are not sure how long to book, this is a starting point. The times are guides, not rules: a simple shoot can finish early, and a long shot list may need more.
| Type of shoot | Best option | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| Headshots and portraits | Hourly studio hire | 1 hour |
| Product photos for an online shop | Hourly studio hire | 1 to 2 hours, depending on how many products |
| Social media content (reels, talking-head video) | Content studio | 2 to 3 hours for a batch of content |
| Podcast recording | Content studio (audio booth) | 1 to 2 hours per episode |
| Brand shoot with several outfits or setups | Full studio day | Up to 8 hours |
| Shoot where you need hair and makeup first | Beauty and studio package | Custom quote |
How to plan your studio session
- Write a shot list. List every shot you need and put the most important ones first. If time runs short, you will still have what matters.
- Book enough time. Setting up, changing lighting and packing up all happen inside your booked time, so allow for them. When in doubt, book a little longer.
- Tell us what you are shooting. When you book, mention whether it is products, portraits, video or audio, so we can confirm the setup before you arrive.
- Pack the small things. Props, outfits that are steamed and ready, spare batteries, memory cards, and a cloth to wipe products. You are also welcome to bring your own camera and lighting.
- Sort hair and makeup first if you need it. Book your makeup before your studio time so you can walk straight in.
